Qualifications

Job description

Onward Education is partnering with a local school district in Cook County, IL to hire a School Psychologist to support K–12 student services. This is an on-site, contract opportunity for a clinician who enjoys collaborating with school teams to strengthen student outcomes across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning.

• Start Date: Aug 5, 2026
• End Date: May 28, 2027
• Schedule: 7:45 AM–2:55 PM, open to only 2-3 days per week
• Location: On-Site, 37.5 hours per week
• School Year: 2026/2027

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate eligibility meetings and participate in IEP meetings as part of a special education team.
• Coordinate and lead 504 meetings in alignment with school requirements.
• Support school-based problem-solving and MTSS meetings through consultation and facilitation.
• Contribute to evaluation activities by administering and interpreting assigned assessment components when needed.
• Attend required team meetings (including the weekly Thursday meeting day) and collaborate with school stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work on-site in Skokie, Illinois.
• Experience supporting early elementary students (K–2) in a school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate special education meetings (eligibility, IEP, and 504).
• Familiarity with school-based evaluations and common assessment tools used in psychoeducational processes.
