Job summary

Phillips School District is seeking a School Psychologist for a 50% FTE, districtwide position. The role requires Wisconsin licensure (7062) and involves coordinating evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and psychological consultation as part of the MLSSS framework.

The successful candidate will provide individual and group social-emotional interventions, apply trauma-informed care and restorative practices, and collaborate with families and staff to support student learning and behavioral

Qualifications

  • Wisconsin DPI license in School Psychologist 7062 or ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of MLSSS and school psychology services
  • Ability to provide individual/small group social and emotional interventions
  • Training in trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
  • Experience with Restorative Practices and working with diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate evaluations and provide diagnostic assessment
  • Provide psychological consultation and intervention planning

Description

The school psychologist provides a program of services geared to assisting in the educational process of the children who are enrolled in the district. The school psychologist will be considered a part of the district administrative team for programs in areas of psychological testing, staff development, supervision, and resource development. The school psychologist is to coordinate evaluations, provide diagnostic assessment; carry on psychological consultation; intervention; research; and assist in program planning for students in alignment with our Multi Level System of Supports (MLSSS).

Qualifications
  • Current, or ability to obtain, Wisconsin DPI license in School Psychologist 7062
  • Knowledge of Multi Level System of Supports (MLSS)
  • Ability to provide individual and/or small group social and emotional interventions
  • Training in trauma-informed care including verbal de-escalation and nonviolent crisis intervention (NVCI or similar)
  • Experience with Restorative Practices
  • Ability to work with families and students with diverse backgrounds and experiences to improve school performance
