Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a school psychology program with internship required by NDE Rule 24.
• Must possess Nebraska Department of Education School Psychology endorsement or a psychology license.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, mentor and guide students with social, cultural, emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Assist students in overcoming behavioral and social problems to improve learning.
• Identify student learning behaviors and develop plans with families to address obstacles.
• Maintain student records and confidential reports, including special education documents.
• Serve as a resource for crisis management and support within schools.
• Design classes and programs to meet student needs; refer to community services as needed.
• Foster diversity and inclusion in school communities; communicate with non-English speakers.
