Location: US, Idaho
Employment Type: Part-time
Opportunity: Lighthouse Therapy is seeking School Psychologists for a hybrid position as 1099 contractors with Idaho school districts for the 24/25 School Year.
Commitment: Willingness to support a minimum of 20 students per week for the 2025-2026 school year, with potential for renewal. Caseloads are not guaranteed; you are in control of your caseload, and if you agree to the 20-student minimum, you are not obligated to take more students.
Note: It may take several weeks for referrals to build, even if you start at the beginning of the school year.
This opening is for individuals who desire flexibility and prefer a partial caseload.
How does Lighthouse define caseload? A 'Student' is a child receiving service for 30 minutes once a week. A caseload of 20 students equals 10 hours of direct therapy time.
What if I see students who require more time? If a student receives 30 minutes twice a week, they count as two students.
Why discuss time in 'Students' rather than 'Hours'? The focus is on students to keep the mission centered on helping students.
Why a minimum caseload of 20 students? To foster happier, more committed therapists, improve integration with schools, and increase referrals, reducing turnover and increasing satisfaction.
Founded in 2018 by Janet Courtney, Lighthouse Therapy prioritizes therapist and student success over profits, emphasizing online therapy experience and supportive decision-making.
Contract, full or partial caseloads. Lighthouse Therapy is an equal opportunity employer.
Preferred: Previous school psychology experience and 2+ years in schools.
