Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract School Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Columbia, South Carolina. This onsite role within a school setting requires 40 hours per week with a start date ASAP.

The therapist will assess students, develop and monitor treatment plans, and complete IEP/MET/Medicaid documentation while collaborating with educators to support student participation in the general education curriculum. SC license and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Assess gross motor skills and equipment needs of students

• Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards
• Train Paraprofessionals/PTAs on various student plans
• Regular and predictable attendance

Position Summary

School-based physical therapists help students improve mobility and physical function so they can fully participate in the classroom and throughout the school environment. As related service providers under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), they collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement therapy goals that support each student's access to and success in the general education curriculum.
