Job summary

Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. is seeking a photographer to join our team in the Ozark/ Springfield area for seasonal school portrait work. You will set up equipment, pose students and staff, and capture on-site portraits at schools.

This seasonal role offers a flexible schedule aligned with school calendars. Training is provided; mileage and drive time are paid; a valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required; applicants should enjoy working with children.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and ability to carry photography equipment.
• Post-offer background check includes a Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• Set up provided photography equipment on site.
• Pose and photograph students and staff at schools.

• Complete assignments within school schedules; travel between sites.

Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. is looking for Photographers to join our team in Springfield, MO and the surrounding area! Inter-State Studio is a family‑owned school photography and yearbook company that has served schools for 90 years. We pride ourselves on delivering high‑quality school portraits and yearbooks with affordable pricing and excellent service.

Position Overview

As an Inter‑State Studio Photographer, you will set up provided equipment, pose, and photograph students and staff on‑site at schools. This role blends technical photography skills with a dynamic, people‑focused environment. If you possess an eye for detail and can put people at ease in front of the camera, we want to hear from you.

This seasonal position is ideal for those who enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule. Workdays vary based on school schedules, generally lasting 8–10 hours with a possible range of 8 to 40 hours per week. Mileage and drive time are paid, and bonus opportunities are available.

Paid training starts 7/24.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation with capacity to carry photography equipment; ability to drive up to 2 hours one way; insurance coverage.
• Post‑offer background check includes a Motor Vehicle Report.

Abilities and Skills

• Photography experience preferred but not required – we provide training.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and volunteers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and access to email.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
