Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring School Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support students in the Unionville-Chadds Ford area of PA. The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday school-day schedule with a starting pay of $18+ per hour and weekly pay.

As a PCA, you will work one-on-one with students, assisting with educational participation, behavioral support, mobility, and personal care needs throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or special needs populations preferred
• Previous experience as a PCA, CNA, HHA, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Health Technician, or caregiver is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Successful completion of required background checks, onboarding, and training requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to assigned student(s) throughout the school day
• Assist students in participating successfully in classroom activities
• Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and adaptive equipment as needed
• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting and hygiene support
• Observe and report changes in student behavior, health, or performance
• Reinforce positive behaviors and assist with redirection when necessary
• May accompany students during transportation or school activities as assigned

Position Overview
