Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of study at an accredited postsecondary institution or an Associate's degree or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist the teacher in implementing classroom activities.
• Provide instructional assistance as planned by the teacher or administrator.
• Provide student supervision as required by the teacher or administrator.
• Perform assigned clerical and bookkeeping duties.
• Enter required data into the computer.
• Plan and organize instruction using guidelines from the teacher or administrator.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students.
• Maintain records and files pertinent to the program.
• Assist in maintaining positive relationships between the school and parents.
