Job summary

Enid Public Schools Garfield Elementary in Enid, Oklahoma seeks a School Secretary II for Garfield Elementary. The role supports front desk operations, data entry in the student information system, and coordination with staff, students, and parents.

The position includes health insurance for the employee and follows the EPS support contract scale. Starting immediately, 8 hours/day, 200 days per year, at an hourly rate of $12.40.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in typing, spelling, grammar and composition.
• Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of office equipment, machines and computers.
• Three years’ experience as a secretary.
• Ability to work with and communicate with supervisors, office co-workers, faculty, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Act as a receptionist, being cordial in welcoming visitors to school.
• Receive telephone calls and take/send messages.
• Maintain accurate data in student information system.
• May include collecting and depositing school funds.
• May include assisting and running data for state reports.
• May include work associated with back-to-school operations.
• Provide routine first aid to students.
• Type any school reports or correspondence required by the principal.
• Any other duties assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principal
