Job summary

Three Rivers School District is seeking an Office Clerk at Lorna Byrne Middle School in Cave Junction, Oregon. This is a part-time role with 7 hours per day, 4 days per week, 155 days per year, and immediate starting date. Compensation ranges from $17.65 to $22.36 per hour, with placement at Step 1–9 based on prior experience.

Benefits include medical, dental and vision, plus PERS retirement contributions. Bilingual and biliterate candidates are encouraged to apply; pre-employment drug screening

Qualifications

• Background in school operations desired.
• One year clerical experience in typing, filing, word processing, answering phones, dealing with public; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in office practices.
• Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office-Word, Excel, etc. Synergy & Odysseyware desired.
• Ability to exercise careful judgment, diplomacy and confidentiality in performance of duties
• Organized and able to multi-task
• Good communication skills – both written and oral, excellent telephone skills a must
• General office / clerical skills
• Good knowledge of Business English, spelling and punctuation
• Ability to compose and prepare correspondence using correct business English/proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation and format
• Excellent public relation skills in working with students, staff, parents and the general public
• Ability to remain calm, but act quickly in emergency situations
• Skills Testing may be required
