AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist for Oswego, Illinois. This 41‑week assignment offers 40 hours per week, with two programs in the same building and daytime hours.

The role involves assessing students, developing individualized plans, implementing school‑based OT interventions, and collaborating with teachers and staff to support academic, social, and physical development. IL OT license required.

Qualifications

• Master's level or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• IL OT license.
• Experience in pediatric and/or school-based therapy; fieldwork counts.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with IEPs to support academic and developmental goals.
• Work with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development and sensory needs.

Qualifications

• Master's level or higher in Occupational Therapy
• IL OT license
• Previous experience (fieldwork counts) in pediatric and/or school based therapy
• Prefer candidate strong in sensory knowledge, organized, yet adaptable.
• Ability to teach IEP/ school based knowledge experience is preferred
• Will be supervising and has experience in this area

Role Overview

As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. Job Details

• Schedule: 2 programs located in the same building
• Dates: 2026-2027 School Year
• Hours: 1 program‑7:45‑2:45 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. 2nd program‑8:45‑2:45 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
• Service delivery of consult and direct, completing 3 year re-evals, annual reviews, working 1 on 1 and within small groups and team collaboration

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
