Qualifications

• Honest, dependable and discreet regarding student/staff information.
• Manual dexterity to handle knives and equipment.
• Able to work calmly and complete tasks, even under stress.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for required travel.
• Flexibility for district-approved role substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with district, department and federal nutrition policies and sanitation standards.
• Follow attendance rules and report absences.
• Maintain personal hygiene and time management.
• Assist in preparing food per planned menus and recipes.
• Operate food service equipment (ovens, griddles, steamers, etc.) correctly.
• Follow directions and check district email for updates.
• Perform basic math and maintain production records.
• Operate POS system as cashier during serving times.
• Serve students and restock serving lines as directed.
• Assist in covering other staff as needed and travel to satellite locations if required.
• Attend district training sessions and complete assigned duties.
