Cabarrus County Schools in Concord, NC is hiring a School Nutrition Program Probationary Assistant for 4.5 hours per day. The position handles cashier duties, meal preparation, and general cafeteria operations in a school environment. Starting date is To Be Determined; probationary period with potential continuation based on performance.

Salary is $16.55 per hour as a part-time role under NC pay grade SNP. Reports to SNP Manager and requires basic high school education and kitchen experience.

Essential Functions

• Skill in the use of standardized recipes and specialized kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
• Ability to work long hours while standing and under high temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force.

At the end of the probationary position, an offer of continued employment may be extended contingent on the availability of a position and satisfactory performance in the probationary position.
