Essential Functions

• Serves as a cashier.
• Washes and wraps fresh fruit; measures and cups canned fruit.
• Washes and measures ingredients for salads.
• Prepares specialty fruit and assists in vegetable preparation.
• Prepares food for next day.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area.
• Counts money for petty cash, opens register, and reconciles register at end of day.
• Prepares food, washes dishes, cleans up kitchen area.
• Serves food.
• Stocks food and supplies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing meats, breads, vegetables, and other foods on a large scale.
• General knowledge of the use and care of utensils and equipment.
• General knowledge of food values and nutrition.
• General knowledge of USDA rules and regulations.
• Skill in the use of standardized recipes and specialized kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Ability establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
• Ability to work long hours while standing and under high temperature conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force.
• Frequently requires standing; walking; sitting; speaking or hearing; using hands to finger, handle or feel; climbing or balancing, stooping; kneeling, crouching or crawling; reaching with hands and arms; tasting or smelling; pushing or pulling; lifting; and repetitive motions.
