Qualifications

• Completion of four units of State School Child Nutrition training or willingness to complete units quickly.
• ServSafe Certification is required by Delaware Food Code.
• Knowledge of sanitation precautions and HACCP procedures.
• Knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Program requirements.
• Basic computer skills (email, Excel, POS) to follow procedures.
• Cooperative attitude and ability to work with students, staff and management.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be free from drugs and alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the assigned unit.
• Coordinates overall workflow of the kitchen and delegates tasks.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas.
• Follows safe food handling practices per HACCP program.
• Manages use and sanitation of kitchen equipment.
• Maintains inventories, time sheets, and daily records for the Manager.
• Communicates daily with Manager about operational concerns and reports to Specialist.
• Submits weekly milk/bread orders and completes weekly food orders.
