Belden Elementary in Canton, Ohio seeks a Child Nutrition Assistant to join its cafeteria team. This part-time role covers 5 hours per day across 191 instructional days per year, starting immediately.

The CNA will assist with meal preparation, serving, cash handling, and maintaining safe, clean kitchen operations in compliance with district and state guidelines. Good physical stamina with intermittent standing, walking and lifting.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive attitude when dealing with students, staff and community patrons; handle complaints promptly and offer healthy food suggestions.
Assist with meal preparation and be cross-trained in all meal areas in the kitchen.
Set up and maintain the serving line; monitor food quality and temperature during service time.
Operate cash register at Point of Service and cash out with minimal errors.
Clean and sanitize kitchen areas and equipment according to safety standards.
Follow all food safety standards as outlined by Canton City Health Department and Ohio health authorities.
