Job summary

Turnberry Elementary in the School District 27J (Inc) seeks a part-time Food Service Assistant to support the preparation and serving of meals in a school environment. You will follow standardized recipes, operate institutional equipment, and maintain a clean work area.

Shift is 2–6 hours daily, Tuesday through Friday, for a 162-day/9-month schedule. Starting pay is $18.58 per hour, with no benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of high school or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Basic math, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Ability to deal with children, including those with special needs.
• Must pass post-offer, pre-employment physical.
• Must pass Colorado and FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals following standardized recipes and operate equipment.
• Portion food to meet guidelines.
• Wash trays, utensils, and dishes used in food preparation or service.
• Mop, sweep, and clean kitchen and related areas.
