Job Title: School Nutrition Assistant Manager
SUMMARY: Responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of hot and cold food items to students, faculty, and staff.

High school education or GED; 1–2 years of related experience or food service training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Serve‑Safe is required, SNA Levels, 1, 2, and 3 are preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificate from the health department permitting him/her to handle food.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
