Job summary

Whitsons is seeking a School Food Service Worker to serve meals to students and staff in a school setting, helping create a safe, welcoming mealtime experience with a friendly team on a weekday schedule.

Starting 9/14/2026 for the 2026-2027 school year, training is provided; no prior experience is required. Compensation is $18/hour with family-friendly hours, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the school nutrition program. The role requires ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• English reading and speaking ability sufficient for job tasks.
• Maintains a positive, professional image in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience
