Job summary

Pennridge School District in Perkasie, PA seeks a Support Staff Nurse to assist the Certified School Nurse with health services for students. This full-time, 10-month role will administer first aid and medications under supervision and manage health records and related clerical tasks.

Qualified candidates hold a PA RN or LPN license with a medication certificate and have at least three years of medical experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student health records and prepare required reports.
• Complete clerical tasks for mandated examinations and screenings.
• Administer first aid and medications under supervision of the Nurse.
• Conduct basic yearly screenings (vision, weight) and report results.
• Notify parents/guardians in emergencies and coordinate with hospital staff when needed.
• Maintain an orderly Health Room and display bulletin boards.
• Participate in staff development programs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building administration.
