Job summary

CiTi BOCES Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation is seeking Registered Nurse substitutes to support students across schools. Candidates must hold a New York State Registered Professional Nurse license and current CPR/AED certification.

Substitute coverage requires following district health care procedures and doctor orders for student medications, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with students, families, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Current CPR/AED training.
• Able to follow District procedures and guidelines for health care and medications.
• Able to follow doctor's orders for student medications.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Confidentiality.
• Able to interact with students, parents, and staff.
• School experience is preferred but not required.
• Fingerprinting through NYSED is a requirement for working in the school district.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing coverage for students as substitutes as needed.
