Job summary

Responsibilities

• Directs health care of students and staff who are injured or need first aid.
• Conducts screenings and physical examinations.
• Refer students and families to healthcare resources in the community.
• Makes recommendations on health needs of individual students.
• Maintains health and immunization records.
• Completes daily logs and required reports.
• Implements health exclusion and readmission policies.
• Assists in developing school health programs.
• Visits student homes when necessary.
• Provides parent education and classroom health teaching.
