Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating the school health program, supervising screenings, maintaining health records, notifying parents, providing emergency care, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent experience in public nursing, medical, pediatric, or emergency settings.
• Strong knowledge of health policies and ability to implement health programs.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents and staff in a health setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the health program within the assigned school.
• Supervise and administer health screenings (hearing, vision, scoliosis) and provide follow-up.
• Audit health records for immunizations and notify parents of deficiencies.
• Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and parents.
• Provide emergency health care for students and staff.
• Maintain health records and contact parents or guardians as needed.
• Comply with district and state policies regarding medication administration.
