Job summary

Spring Independent School District HOYLAND ES in Houston, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, 195-day position starts immediately and reports to the Principal / Nurse Program Leader, with pay on the Teacher Pay Scale.

The RN will provide health assessments, manage student health needs, plan and implement health protocols, and collaborate with families, physicians, and school staff to remove health-related barriers to learning while promoting

Qualifications

Hold a current valid Texas Registered Nursing License issued by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Associate Degree (ADN) / Diploma in Nursing accepted; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Nursing Services: health advocacy, assessments, interventions, referrals; follow district policy and legal requirements.
Plan and implement school health protocols; may transport students as needed.
Provide wellness education; assist in health policy development and policy implementation.
Consultation: health liaison between school, physicians, parents and community; make referrals as needed.
Administration: maintain student health records, report health hazards, ensure safety and compliance.
