Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a school nurse to implement our district health services program and provide direct health services to students on the assigned campus.

The role emphasizes health education, preventive care, and strong collaboration with staff. A current RN or LVN license and CPR/AED certifications are required, with at least two years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• Valid RN or LVN license to practice nursing.
• AED and CPR certifications current.
• Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health issues.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Primary Purpose:
Implement district health services program to best meets the needs of the student population on the assigned campus. Provide health services to students. Promote health and safety education for students and preventive health practices for students.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
Valid licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or registered nurse license (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing
Current automatic external defibrillator (AED) and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificates
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects
Ability to implement policies and procedures
Knowledge of basic first aid
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience: Two years nursing experience.
