Job summary

Tulsa Public Schools is seeking a School Nurse (LPN) to support student health services in the school environment. The nurse will manage medications, provide first aid, and help ensure immunization compliance under the supervision of the Site Administrator and Manager of SchoolNursing.

The role requires an LPN license, at least two years of nursing experience, and comfort with using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for health-related tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing program from vocational or other technical school.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Valid, unrestricted LPN license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• School nursing or pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration and first aid in the school setting.
• Maintain immunization compliance documentation and related records.
• Prepare workers' compensation documentation and other required health forms.
• Utilize computer systems for email, reporting, and online supply orders.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Site Administrator and Manager of SchoolNursing, the school nurse (LPN) works with students and the entire school communitysupporting health needs such as medication administration, first aid, immunizationcompliance, and workers compensation documentation, etc. Computer use for taskssuch as email, submitting attachments, reports, online supply orders, accessing forms, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing program from vocational or other technical school
• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• School nursing, pediatric nursing, or related nursing specialty experience preferred
• Valid, unrestricted license for practical nursing from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
• Knowledge of fundamental nursing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Possess or ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
