Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to support students in Colorado Springs, CO. You’ll provide hands-on care in the school health room, manage day-to-day health needs, and help create a safe, supportive environment for students.

This full-time, 1.0 FTE role starts ASAP for the 2026–2027 school year. Pay up to $55/hour with a consistent school-year schedule, plus benefits including health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, liability insurance, licensure/CEU reimbursements,

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado State RN license required.
  • School Nursing Credential (CDE) or ability to obtain.
  • Must be able to pass fingerprinting and background check.
  • Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
  • Provide first aid and respond to student health concerns throughout the school day.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, administrators, and special education teams.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate.
  • Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
  • Monitor immunization compliance and support health screenings.
  • Promote student health, safety, and wellness throughout the school.
