Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy is seeking a full-time Maintenance staff member to clean and secure our Brooklyn school daily. You will perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs to keep classrooms and common areas safe and welcoming for students and staff.

The role requires at least one year of custodial experience, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY, with some exposure to outdoor conditions and seasonal weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in cleaning/custodial/janitorial work.
• Background check required by company policy.

Responsibilities

• Support the cleaning and maintenance of the building.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists and deep-clean schedules.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
