Job summary

Vista Unified School District is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support school site operations. The LVN administers first aid and prescribed medications under supervision, coordinates student health plans, and maintains accurate health records in compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification
• Valid California LVN or RN license required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and dispenses medications as prescribed to students.
• Assesses and monitors students for welfare and coordinates with licensed healthcare providers.
• Assists credentialed School Nurses with mandated screenings and planning.
• Maintains health office records, logs, and documentation in accordance with guidelines.
• Maintains health office environment, inventories supplies, and supports administrative tasks.
• Communicates with students, parents, staff, and external parties as needed.
