Job summary

Whitsons invites applications for a School Food Service Worker to join our nutrition team. This role supports serving healthy meals to students and staff on a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

You’ll prep, portion, and serve meals, maintain clean stations, follow safety procedures, and work with a friendly team to create a positive mealtime experience. Training is provided; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• At least 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• English literacy to understand and follow safety rules.
• Positive, professional image and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
• Work as part of a fun, energetic team.
