Job summary

Red Rabbit, LLC in Philadelphia is seeking a Food Service Worker, In-School to join a small team delivering healthy, scratch-made meals to students each day.

You will hand out meals, assist with light prep, and help keep the kitchen meeting DOH standards while training in food safety and serving with dignity.

The role is part-time, with typical hours roughly 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in Southwest Philadelphia, reporting to the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• 1+ years professional culinary experience in a fast-paced setting (restaurants, high-volume kitchens, or schools).
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Serve Safe certificate.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Portion food according to guidelines.
• Garnish meals per culinary standards.
• Distribute meals with dignity to students.
• Count and track food distributed to ensure accuracy and reduce waste.
• Maintain DOH standards by cleaning stations and equipment.
• Represent Red Rabbit values when interacting with staff and students.
