Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and service procedures.
• Safe food handling, storage, and sanitation knowledge.
• Understanding of inventory control and kitchen supply organization.
• Ability to lift, carry, and unload up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving school meals and related food preparation tasks.
• Perform routine kitchen duties including dishwashing and clean-up.
• Support meal packaging for off-site service and review pack-out requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food prep areas.
• Demonstrate awareness of students' allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Follow district policies and food safety regulations.
• May substitute for the Kitchen Manager in their absence.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
