Job summary

Whitsons is seeking a School Food Service Worker to join our nutrition team in Lansing Admin. Work Monday–Friday from 9am to 2pm with no nights, weekends, or summers. You’ll prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff in a friendly, fast-paced kitchen environment.

No prior experience required—training is provided as you support healthy meals that fuel learning and well-being in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Food handling certification preferred but not required.
• English language proficiency; able to lift 40 lbs+ as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience
• Work as part of a fun, energetic team
