Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Paralegal to provide critical support to various legal departments. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Paralegal will be responsible for gathering and reviewing documents, preparing legal drafts, and assisting attorneys during mediations and hearings.

Qualified candidates will have a paralegal certificate, at least three years of litigation practice experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. This full-time role requires Chicago residency and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience in a litigation practice.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and review legal documents for relevancy.
  • Prepare drafts of legal documents for attorney approval.
  • Assist attorneys during mediations and hearings.
  • Maintain and organize electronic case files.
  • Process requests for student records.
