Job summary

Nutrition Management Services is seeking a dependable Utility / Food Prep Associate to join our culinary team at a private school in Villanova, PA. This is a full-time, on-site role with hourly pay in the school food service environment.

The position involves hands-on food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen while supporting daily meal service. Teamwork, reliability, and adherence to sanitation standards are essential, with opportunities to grow within our kitchen

Qualifications

• Previous food service, kitchen, restaurant, or utility experience preferred but not required.
• Basic food preparation experience is a plus.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and established food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move food, supplies, equipment, and waste as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and culinary staff with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning, and assembling ingredients and menu items.
• Assist with preparation of salads, sandwiches, grab-and-go items, beverages, and other foods as assigned.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and other kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dish, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and remove trash and recycling throughout the workday.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and proper rotation of food and supplies.
• Restock kitchen and serving areas as needed.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning before and after meal periods.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen procedures.
• Support the culinary team wherever needed to ensure efficient and timely meal service.
