Job summary

The School District Of Osceola County is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant at Parkway Middle School. This role supports preparation, cooking and serving in the school lunch program, with a 3.75 hour/day schedule and on-site work at the Kissimmee location.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to follow instructions, and some experience with quantity food preparation. Physical fitness to lift up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with others.
• Some experience with quantity food preparation and related equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assist in preparation, cooking and serving foods in a school setting.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, up to 55 pounds with assistance.
• Stand for long periods and operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow health and safety procedures.
