LEWIS & CLARK ELEMENTARY in Saint Peters, Missouri is seeking a Cook Helper to support school meal service. The role involves assisting with meal prep, serving, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean kitchen work area. The position is part-time with hours related to the school schedule.

Starting date is immediate, with on-site work in a busy school kitchen environment. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a team, following district safety and uniform requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude for the successful performance of the tasks listed below.

Responsabilités

• Assist with meal preparation, set up, and service of foods as needed.
• Organize the dish cleaning area and keep in an orderly manner.
• Scrape, rinse, rack, and wash dishes, trays, and other utensils.
• Operate dish cleaning equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Return clean dishes to the proper storage areas.
• Clean dish machine equipment, dish tables, and dish room area after each day’s use.
• Inventory cleaning supplies on a periodic schedule.
• Report any equipment malfunctions and supply needs to the kitchen manager.
• Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance and wear district uniforms at all times when performing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, principal, and his/her designee.
• Possess the ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and in written form, with administrators, staff, and the community as needed.
• Attend and participate in department meetings when scheduled.
• Complete continuing education as directed by the SNS office.
