Job summary

Employment Group is seeking part-time food service staff to support daily cafeteria operations for a local school district. You will prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, stock supplies, and provide excellent service to students and staff.

Responsibilities include applying health guidelines, understanding the Child Nutrition Program, and using equipment like hot carts, scales, and a 10-key calculator. This is a contract-to-hire role with a 9:30am–1:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid ServeSafe certificate preferred.
• Proficient reading, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment.

Looking for an additional source of income while making a positive impact in your community? Employment Group is actively recruiting Part-Time Food Service Staff for a local school district. In this role, you will support daily cafeteria operations by preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, stocking supplies, and providing excellent service to students and staff.

Schedule

9:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday (may differ slightly based on need)

What You’ll Do

• Serve food, wash and sanitize equipment and utensils, stock food and supplies
• Understand the regulations and goals of the Child Nutrition Program set forth on the State and Federal level
• Understand and implement department policies and procedures
• Practice all Health Department rules and guidelines
• Use of equipment such as Hot Carts/Boxes, scales, and 10 key calculator
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid ServeSafe certificate or certificate from a 10-hour approved sanitation class preferred
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general information
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with knowledge of American money, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
• Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and students, maintain effective relationships, and communicate in noisy environments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, and operate various kitchen equipment
