Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking a School Kitchen Support Position to maintain a clean kitchen and prepare nutritious meals for preschool children. This role requires adherence to health and safety guidelines and the ability to work independently.

Benefits include a performance-based bonus; candidates should have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and prior cooking experience for children.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience cooking for young children preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Positive attitude and enjoyment of working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Prepare and serve simple, nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for young children.
• Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment.
• Perform light cleaning duties throughout the school as needed.
• Create and share a monthly menu with families.
• Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
