Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in high-volume food preparation and serving is desired; school kitchen experience preferred.
• Must complete Food Handlers Class within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and others.
• Ability to follow work instructions and maintain a positive attitude toward the foodservice program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, cook and bake, portion food and perform other preparation duties.
• Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, appliances, and equipment; perform general kitchen cleaning.
• Assist with cashier duties: assemble machines, count money, store supplies, and package for shipment to other kitchens.
• Serve prepared food to students.
• Adapt to a dynamic environment and maintain productivity while handling other tasks.
• Interact positively with students, staff, and supervisors.
