Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a School Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children we serve. You will perform a wide variety of custodial duties across classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, helping to support our mission of delivering high-quality early childhood education.

The role emphasizes safety with chemicals, proper disposal, and teamwork within our village of caring staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year of janitorial experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
• Work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions
• Ability to transport products and equipment from room to room
• Perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, twisting, and walking
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment and use designated chemicals and other cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions

When you join our team as a School Housekeeper you will:

In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.

Range of pay $20.80 - $21.85 Hourly
