Sylvania is seeking a School Nurse to promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, staff, and faculty. The role emphasizes wellness, attendance support, and a healthy school climate.

Responsibilities include emergency care, medication administration, health screenings, and collaboration with district staff and community health resources. Candidates should hold Idaho PN Services certificate with School Nurse endorsement and an Idaho RN license.

Qualifications

• Idaho Pupil Personnel Services certificate with a School Nurse endorsement is required.
• Clear and valid Idaho RN license is required.
• Current CPR Certification is required to perform health services.
• Ability to work with students, staff, parents and the public.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty and staff.
• Promote wellness to maximize educational opportunities and minimize illness-related absences.
• Provide emergency care and administer first-aid according to policies.
• Administer prescribed medication to students in accordance with law and policy.
• Support health screenings, disease prevention, and health education programs.
• Coordinate with school health professionals and community health resources to maintain a healthy school climate.
• Report health concerns to the building principal and document health services as required.
• Assist in special education placements and health planning for students with disabilities.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing school health services.
