Job summary

Albuquerque School of Excellence seeks a School Nurse to coordinate student health services and maintain a comprehensive health program. You will collaborate with clinicians, parents, and district staff to ensure safe, continuous care for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level nursing or related health field.
• RN license current in state where employed.
• CPR certification required; pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, parents, school district staff and community agencies to ensure access and continuity of care for students.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive school health program.
• Conduct immunization, physical exams, and vision/hearing screenings as required.
• Perform nursing assessments for ill or injured students and provide first aid and referrals.
• Maintain accurate health records in accordance with laws and policies.
• Develop individual health care plans (IHP/IEP) as needed and coordinate with IEP teams.
