The nurse will administer medications, assist with screenings, and ensure HIPAA/FERPA confidentiality while maintaining documentation and liaising with staff.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum requirement—Current Minnesota licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• CPR and first aid certificate required.
• Proficient in using electronic health records.
• Knowledge of and experience working with children with special health needs.
• Experience managing chronic health conditions.
• Ability to engage effectively with employees at all organizational levels and various partners.

Aufgaben

• Administer medications under guidance of a licensed school nurse and in accordance with policy (e.g., G-tube, wound dressing, catheterization).
• Assist in school screenings (vision, hearing) under supervision of a Licensed School Nurse.
• Collaborate with the licensed nurse to develop services for students with special needs.
• Administer first aid, emergency and episodic care within licensure.
• Gather immunization data to help prevent disease transmission per state regulations.
• Work with faculty to provide healthcare services to all students.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality.
