Job summary

New Palestine Community Schools seeks an LPN or RN with Indiana licensure to appraise, promote, and protect student health. The role supports health services in the school clinic, administers medications, and coordinates with the corporation nurse.

Preferred candidates have public health or school nursing experience and comfort working in a school setting while maintaining a safe clinic environment and following district policies.

Qualifications

• LPN or RN with a valid Indiana Nursing License.
• Public Health Nursing or School Nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check all students presenting in clinic and record visit.
• Provide first aid to ill or injured students and staff following guidelines.
• Administer and record student medication per state law and policy.
• Notify parent/guardian when illness or injury occurs (except minor cases).
• Assist with mandated screenings and communicate health concerns to the corporation nurse.
• Maintain a safe, pleasant clinic environment and follow clinic policies.
