Assist in maintaining current and accurate medical health records for all students. Serve as a resource for families of students.
The school health aide will assist the school nurse by caring for students for general health, injury, or illness. The responsibilities include facilitating routine screenings, documenting health clinic data and reports, and monitoring and inventorying supplies.
Other duties may be assigned by School Health Coordinator.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Acts as a resource for families, volunteers, and district staff, including training, demonstrating, and answering questions.
High school diploma or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted. MA or LPN preferred.
0 – 2 years experience in working with children is preferred. Experience working in a related field preferred.
CPR, First Aid, and Medication certification are preferred at hire or within three months, required within the first six months of employment. This position requires that the employee work under the delegation of a licensed nurse.
To safely perform this position, the employee must be familiar with the safety rules of the job and participate in all safety training provided by the department. Employees must wear personal protective equipment whenever required, ask for assistance if the task requires more than one person, and, if unsure how to perform a task safely, stop and ask a supervisor for instruction before continuing.
