Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper for Charlotte County Public Schools in Punta Gorda, Florida. This role involves maintaining school grounds, operating equipment, and ensuring safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in groundskeeping, physical endurance, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Compensation is $18.50 per hour with benefits. Responsibilities include mowing, planting, and maintaining landscaping while adhering to safety practices.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience using groundskeeping and/or farm-related equipment.
• Valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain upon employment.
• Must obtain limited lawn and ornamental license within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for school grounds.
• Prepare areas for planting shrubs and plants.
• Mow lawns and maintain equipment.
• Maintain records as directed.
• Drive school board vehicles.

Skills

Physical strength and endurance
