Job summary

Primrose School of Denver North is seeking a School Administrator to run the private preschool in accordance with Primrose policies and licensing standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and an effective communicator committed to early childhood education and student success.

You will support teachers with Balanced Learning curriculum, supervise operations, drive enrollment, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Must meet requirements of local childcare regulatory agency and Primrose School of Denver North.
  • At least two years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.
  • Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Coaching and supervision credentials welcomed.

Responsibilities

Primrose School of Denver North is seeking a School Administrator for our private preschool. This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted in early childhood education and childcare services to the families we serve. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.


The School Administrator is responsible for operating the school in accordance with Primrose School of Denver North policies and procedures and state licensing standards. Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff. Promote the Primrose School of Denver North in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability. Support teachers through ongoing professional development with a focus on Balanced Learning ® curriculum implementation, fidelity and continuous improvement for teachers and students.


Qualifications:


  • Must meet requirements of local childcare regulatory agency and Primrose School of Denver North.

  • At least two years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.

  • Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

  • Child Development Associate™ (CDA) Credential™; OR a Level III Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0

Responsibilities:


  • Provides front desk coverage for all customer service needs – primarily during morning drop-off and afternoon pick up.

  • Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Denver North vision and mission.

  • Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers.

  • Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Denver North and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

  • Assists the Director and Assistant Director with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.

  • Knowledge of, and adhere to, employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws.

  • Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.

  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.

  • Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the school, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver.

  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.

  • Passionately believes in and is able to communicate all aspects of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning.

  • Creates a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborates with other members of the Leadership Team to provide ongoing feedback for teaching staff, using a variety of tools such as the Teacher Observation Tool and student assessment data.

  • Works with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to design plans for continual improvement.

  • Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team to implement the training plan for new teaching staff according to classroom-specific continual learning guides.

  • Ensures teacher training requirements are up to date.

  • Conducts classroom observations to regularly support and ensure Balanced Learning curriculum implementation and delivery.

  • Maintains confidentiality.

  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of North Employee Handbook
