Job summary

Minot Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Food Service worker to assist in MPS school kitchens. You will help with food preparation, serving meals, operating a cash register, and maintaining dining areas in accordance with safety standards.

Position is substitute-based, hours vary by day and need, with pay at $15.95 per hour. Immediate starting date; work primarily at the Administration Building and district facilities in Minot, North Dakota.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalently; some customer service work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MPS policies and safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to interact with staff and public.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and presentation, following policies and safety standards.
• Prepare dining areas for meals and serve; may operate a cash register/service terminal.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in food service facilities and dining areas.
• Demonstrate courteous, confidential interactions with clients and staff; uphold district rules.
