Chartwells K-12 is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Food Service Worker positions at Newton Public Schools in Newton, MA. Location: 100 Walnut Street, Newton, MA 02460. Schedule varies; online applications accepted only.

Pay range is $21.25 to $22.50 per hour. Prior food service experience is required. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. Benefits are offered to both full-time and part-time associates. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
